FAQ
Straight answers about FLATRATE WIKI as it works today.
What is FLATRATE WIKI?
FLATRATE WIKI is a technician-first community for sharing real-world automotive repair experience, Tips, labor context, and the details the next technician should know.
Who is it for?
Primarily automotive technicians and people doing hands-on service work. Shop owners, advisors, educators, and industry neighbors are welcome when the conversation stays useful and respectful.
Is FLATRATE WIKI free?
Yes. Community participation on FLATRATE WIKI is free today. If paid tools or merchandise appear later, they will be clearly labeled when they exist.
Why does Community use technician nicknames?
Public Community identity is designed to avoid unnecessarily exposing account or personal information. Share the job, not details that do not belong in a public discussion.
What is a Tip?
A Tip is a technician's real-world account of a repair or diagnostic job: what was found, what was done, what affected the work, and what the next technician should know. Include labor or paid-time context when you know it accurately.
How does Community work?
Community is where technicians ask questions, compare jobs, share experience, and improve the shared record. Enter through Community.
What can I post?
Post technician-useful questions, experience, and Tips. Do not post customer information, coworker or shop private details, credentials, secrets, spam, harassment, or material you are not allowed to share. Review the Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.
What does the VIN Scanner do?
The VIN Scanner lets you capture a VIN and attempts to recognize and decode the vehicle information. Always confirm the VIN and decoded vehicle before relying on the result.
How do I report a problem?
For product or Community issues that can be discussed publicly, start in Community. For account or privacy concerns, use Account and the Privacy Policy. Do not post security-sensitive exploit details publicly.
Where are Privacy, Terms, and Community Guidelines?
Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Community Guidelines. The Legal page links all three.
